Posts
Posts are long-form, topic-focused discussions. Posts can be announcements, updates, discussion topics, etc. that you share with your entire organization or with a specific group. Open them from Posts in the top navigation.
Creating a post
At the top of the Posts page, click into the composer and fill in a Post title and your message, then click Post to publish it immediately with the audience you've selected.
If you'd rather write over multiple sessions or get feedback before publishing, click Create sharable draft instead. This opens a full-page draft editor where you (and anyone you share it with) can keep editing, leave inline comments, and collaborate in real time before it goes out.
Choosing an audience
The audience you choose for your post will be notified of the post's creation and subsequent comments. When creating a post, choose to send it to:
- Everyone — a public post with no notification to any specific group
- A specific group — all members of that group are notified
- Announcement — notifies everyone, even people who've unsubscribed from post notifications
Selecting Announcement always sends the post org-wide; you can't combine it with a group. The Announcement option only appears for organization admins. An announcement is called out with a badge on the post and notifies every reachable member's inbox, bypassing their normal Post notification preference.
Commenting on a post
Add a top-level comment using the composer at the bottom of a post, and press ⌘+Enter / Ctrl+Enter or click send. Hover over any comment and click Reply to add a threaded reply (replies are one level deep). You can react to the post or any comment with an emoji, and edit or delete your own comments from the ⋯ menu.
Marking a decision
Hovering over a post or comment reveals a Decide action, which turns it into a recorded decision. Once decided, it shows a decision pill with who decided and when — click it again to undo (only the decider or an org admin can undo it).
Pinning a post
Admins can pin a published post to feature it. Open the post and click Pin in the header (or Unpin to remove it). Pinned posts appear in a Pinned rail at the top of the Posts page and show a Pinned badge on the post itself.
Editing and deleting a post
The post's creator or an org admin can edit its title and content from the ⋯ menu on the post, and can delete the post entirely (with confirmation) from the same menu. Deleting a post is permanent.
