Notion
Connecting Notion lets you import pages from your Notion workspace into Convictional. Each page you select is brought in as an editable Convictional document, so you can work with your Notion content alongside everything else in the platform.
Features
- Page import: Choose pages (or whole databases) from your Notion workspace and import them into Convictional as documents you can edit.
How it works
Setting up Notion has two parts:
- Create a Notion Personal Access Token for the workspace you want to connect.
- Connect it to Convictional and choose which pages to import.
Each person connects their own token. The token acts as you — it can read every page you have access to in the workspace you choose — and you decide which of those pages to actually import into Convictional.
Getting Started
1. Create a Notion Personal Access Token
- Go to Notion's developer portal at notion.so/developers.
- Open the Personal access tokens section and click New personal access token.
- Enter a name, choose the workspace you want to connect, and create the token.
- Copy the token. It begins with
ntn_.
Because a Personal Access Token acts as you, it can read every page you already have access to in that workspace. You don't need to share pages or add connections individually.
2. Connect Notion to Convictional
- Go to your Profile Settings.
- Find the Notion section and click Manage Notion.
- Paste your token into the Notion integration token field and click Connect Notion.
- Once connected, you'll see "Connected to" your workspace name.
3. Choose pages and sync
- In the page tree, select the pages you want to import. Selecting a database or a folder selects all of the pages inside it.
- Click Sync now. Your selected pages are imported in the background, each as an editable Convictional document.
Imported pages are brought in as standalone documents — they are not a live mirror of Notion. To pull in later changes from Notion, return to this page and click Sync now again.
Disconnecting
To disconnect, return to the Notion section of your Profile Settings and click Disconnect. Your synced pages will be removed.
Security Note
Your Notion Personal Access Token acts as you and can read any page you have access to in the selected workspace. The token is stored securely and is never displayed after you connect. Keep it private, disconnect the integration if you no longer need it, and revoke the token in Notion's developer portal if it's ever exposed.
